Testimonials from some of our dancers and venues we collaborate with!

"Brandon is one of the best dance teachers ever! I took a class with him that was for all levels of dancing and he truly delivered! He started from very basics and in only 1.5 hours he had already taught us 3 new dances along with lots of practice in between. He also played the accordion to show us different tempos and let us get a feel for how each could be used multiple ways. He stepped in with my partner and I and showed us what we were doing wrong in a way that didn’t make us feel embarrassed. I can not recommend him enough! This was stepping out of my comfort zone but now I’m patiently waiting until I can take another class with him!"

"This was a great way to fine tune your dancing and learn the nuances of zydeco! Brandon is an excellent teacher, patient and enthusiastic and willing to work with each person/couple to improve the dancing so it's a more comfortable and positive experience. I definitely learned a lot, and looking forward to the next one!"

"So great! To me felt very accessible, non-hierarchical, not confined to a gender binary, fun, and empowering! if you've been wanting to be more confident and comfy with South Louisiana dance stuff, I def recommend!"

"We absolutley LOVE Louisiana Dance Roots! As an owner of Artmosphere, it's cool to be on the "otherside" of the lessons when they are hosted here. You get to see people coming in nervous/anxious & then leaving as confident dancers in as little as 1 lesson! Brandon has a way of making everyone feel welcome & at ease which in turn creates as overall PERFECT expereince! If you haven't tried to make a class yet, you definately should! So much fun!"
